A Clear Process for Re-entry to Registration

Exercise Professionals seeking to renew their registration after some time out of the system, have a simple and clear process to follow. The requirement for any suitably qualified professional is to gain 20 Contiuing Education Credits (CECs) during the preceding two year period and hold current first aid and CPR certifications.

The professional's original qualification must be a Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma from the National Fitness Industry Training Package or an Exercise Science Degree from higher education.

'This situation often arises for women who take time out of the workforce to start a family or those who spend some time travelling, therefore it is important to provide a clear and fair process for re-entry into registration to enable these people to return to work as soon as possible' says Craig Knox, General Manager of Industry Development.

CECs are obtained through a variety of approved programs and activities. For further details visit the learning directory at www.fitness.org.au/learningdirectory or contact our Industry Support Team on 1300 211 311.
