Council Outdoor Policies
Fitness Australia understands the key role local government and statutory authorities play in promoting health and well-being by providing open spaces for recreational opportunities and supporting infrastructure on public land to encourage physical activity among the community.
Recommendations for the provision of commercial fitness services in public areas have been developed to inform Federal, State and Local Government Authorities about current fitness industry standards.
Fitness Australia has developed a comprehensive brief as a guide for Registered Exercise Professionals and Registered Fitness Businesses, to have your voice heard and considered when local councils propose changes to outdoor training policies.
